Product Description

1.Verify that all the gauge details are complete as per approved gauge design or drawing. (Example: datum simulations, data collection devices, flushness checks, nets, Go/No Go checks, and mating part simulation etc.).

2.Verify that the gauge is certified.

3.Verify that supplier conducts GR&R to validate the gauge using production parts and GR&R is conducted per Ford Customer Specific Requirements for PPAP.

4.Verify that gauge usage (variable and attribute measurements) is incorporated into the control plan.

5.Verify that all gauge details are contained within the gauge base and do not interfere with the part loading/unloading.

6.Verify all the data collection devices, gauge pin(s) and mating part simulator(s) are permanently attached to the gauge.

7.Verify that the operator instructions are secured to the gauge and include loading, unloading, usage of all devices, go/no-go checks, and sequence of operation.

8.Verify that the gauge can be properly transported from point of use to storage. Include a cart when required.

9.Verify that the gauge tag includes part number and latest change level.

10.Verify that gauge certification start points are clearly identified on the gauge.
